In childhood, if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I'd declare, "I am an artist." This was common knowledge to all who knew me. With time, experience, and education, my art matured. Vision-Clarification-Purpose, and yet, there's always more to observe, realize, and discover. A true mixed-media artist, I prefer oils for their rich body and brilliant pigments. Since twelve, the odors associated with oils get me going. But I also like to mix it up with a matt gesso or glossy enamel. Collage, charcoal, and sand assist to create my work. My energy can be seen thru an electric line of scrafitto that scribbles high energy thru paint layers. Movement and texture are integral to my images.
