I love being asked by my musician friends to create an "album cover". It's an inspiring venture for me. The two guitars are those played by the artists. Their original music is full of the fresh spirit of youth.
When creating the Kairos paintings, I first went to a rehearsal, taped the music, and drew images of the band members. Back at my studio, I played the tape and began a series of ten abstracts that I felt from the vibes. Not only are these men great jazz musicians with original riffs and improvisation; they are a joy for me to know.
