Cherie E. Hacker holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. While in graduate school, she participated as an Advanced Level Intern at the Smithsonian American Art Museum i n Washington, DC. Her art making began as a child in Chicago. A multi-media artist, she works in oils, collage, photography, printmaking, sculpture and installation. Cherie received additional art degrees from UC Davis and Cosumnes River College, but most recently a Railroad Technology AS Degree from Sacramento City College. Her work can be seen on the current CD release of "riverrun" by Kairos Jazz Quartet, and in Alcove Books: American Art Collector. She enjoys problem solving and working with tools. Her work reflects love and respect of the natural world. Cherie works in her studio, exhibits, and is Gallery Director for Asylum Gallery in Sacramento, California.
